The Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team! The DevOps Engineer will be expected to help maintain and evolve Capacity’s IT infrastructure both in the cloud and in the office. Our newest team member will be responsible for managing a variety of different services that power the Capacity platform and its employees

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting Capacity’s services in the cloud

  • Helping our engineering teams deploy working and secure code as quickly and easily as possible

  • Improving our cloud infrastructure and processes with automation

  • Leveraging firsthand knowledge of IT infrastructure to engage with our engineering teams and design robust and scalable applications

  • There will be many other tasks and expectations will be expected of this person that are not included in this job description. Flexibility is key!

You have:

  • 2+ years of Linux systems administration, software engineering, or related experience.

  • Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages like Python and Bash, or configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform

  • Experience using or managing CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A growth mindset! There’s tons to learn and do in this role, and we’re interested in candidates who are constantly looking to improve and grow their skillset

 

Even better if you have:

  • Experience architecting and managing AWS infrastructure

  • An understanding and hands-on experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker

  • Maintained Kubernetes clusters and deployed applications to that environment

  • Written and maintained services written in any programming language

  • Used Gitlab for version control and CI/CD

 

Reporting Structure:

  • You will report directly to the Operations team manager and have regular interaction with other members of the engineering team.
